Media Design Studio A
MSDA is located on Torgersen Bridge across from the software distribution desk. You can borrow different kinds of media equipment such as cameras for video or photography, GoPro, VR set, audio recorders, tripods, etc. It also rents out laptops for five days in case you need an urgent substitution for your own laptop. There are also board games, projectors, Nintendo Switch you can borrow to enjoy the hanging out time with friends. All resources except laptops can be reserved online at https://spaces.lib.vt.edu/mediastudio/. Since the laptops are always in high demands, you need to stop by to the desk to check-out yourself. The late fee is $25 per day and you will get a notification through email 24 hours before the item dues. So pay attention to the policy to avoid any extra fee.
Media Design Studio B
MSDB is room on the second floor of the library. You can also reserve the room at https://spaces.lib.vt.edu/mediastudio/ or you can stop by if there is no one using it. It offers you a space to record your audio track or video filming. There is always a student worker in the room to help so don’t worry if you are not familiar with the equipment. Feel free to stop by the the studio to ask any questions you have.
